Welcome to my website!
I am a lecturer in the School of Law, University of Essex (UK). Previously, I held a post-doctoral fellowship in the interdisciplinary research group 'The International Rule of Law: Rise or Decline?'. I earned my PhD in International Law from the European University Institute in November 2020. My research broadly addresses questions of security, intelligence, and human rights, while at the same time always seeking to understand better how international law 'works'. To this effect, I often employ an external perspective on international law and borrow theories, methods, and findings from other social science disciplines. For more information about my research and publications, please click on the links above. I am generally happy to be contacted about research talks, guest lectures, and any other type of academic, media, or policy event. You can contact me here or find me on Twitter or BlueSky. My pronouns are she/her. |
